As much as we love our 2018 Acura MDX for the family, one of the major issues we have concerning our 10-month-old is that it lets in so much light from every angle that it has simply ruined many a good nap for her when driving long distances. This shade is a perfect solution for all of that light coming through the rear hatch! What I love about it is that the shade still allows you to use your rearview mirror and see the major details and outlines of traffic conditions behind you; it is not 100% occlusive. Yet, it blocks light really nicely! What I like about how it mounts too is that the shade can be removed by taking off some plastic clips that hold it onto the suction cups so that you do not ruin your placement when you finally achieve it! With that, a tip: Make sure you suction the cups to a clean surface and take time to press them on and fiddle with them since the rear window/hatch of a lot of vehicles is a high-vibration area. I figured that out the funny and hard way when the shade promptly detached about 5 feet out of my driveway the first go around. XD. Altogether, I am happy to have this in our car, and I appreciate how it can detach quickly and be stowed!
