I haven’t seen a pan like this before and I’ve been looking for one like this that can be used with high direct heat on a BBQ. I was so excited when I came across this pan because we grill a lot of fish, shrimp, vegetables and even fruit like pineapple. You can’t put those things straight on the grill and other things I’ve used have either interfered with the cooking or the food stuck or got charred. All Clad is excellent quality and this pan is no exception. It’s beautiful, well-balanced, sits flat on the grill and the profile is low enough you can put the top down over it. It holds up to the high heat and the handles are easy to grab (with silicone oven mitts of course). Because it’s stainless, it’s extremely versatile – can go into the dishwasher (although this pan is sizeable so would probably eat up a good portion of the lower rack!) and can go from cooktop to oven. I had a bit of trouble with cleanup when cooking foods with sugar or residual marinade. You can scrub stainless so it came off but it’s hard to get back to its original luster.
